Is there an official Genius ERP + HubSpot integration?
Yes. Genius Solutions sells a HubSpot CRM integration of its own, outside the HubSpot App Marketplace, which lists no Genius ERP app as of September 2026. It turns a HubSpot deal at the quoting stage into a Genius quote and sends the quote's updates back. When orders, jobs and invoices must reach HubSpot too, we recommend a custom API integration on Genius's REST API add-on, at 70 to 150 build hours.

Why teams connect Genius ERP to HubSpot
Genius ERP was built in Quebec for custom manufacturers, the shops that quote a machine before anyone has designed it. Its customers build pressure vessels, bakery equipment, automation cells and industrial machinery: long, engineered jobs paid in milestones. Genius Solutions says it has worked with manufacturers for more than 35 years, and after acquiring CDID, the developer of Prextra ERP, in 2025, it serves nearly 1,000 organizations across North America.
Genius puts a CRM inside the ERP, and since 2024 it has also sold an integration with HubSpot CRM. A deal worked in HubSpot becomes a Genius quote when it reaches the quoting stage, and the quote’s updates flow back to the deal. Where the sales handoff is the whole problem, that settles it, and it is the first thing to look at.
What it does not settle, on the evidence Genius publishes, is the rest of the account. Orders in production, jobs running behind and milestone invoices waiting on payment are what an account manager wants on the company record before a call, and Genius describes its HubSpot integration in terms of quotes. That remainder is what this page scopes: which objects follow the quote into HubSpot, through which door, and how the two integrations share one deal without overwriting each other.
What syncs
Five objects, and one of them is already spoken for. Genius customers become HubSpot companies. The quote and its deal belong to Genius’s own integration, which creates one from the other and keeps them in step, so the build reads the Genius quote number on the deal and never writes that link. Sales orders, jobs and invoices land on custom objects associated to the company, and to the deal through the quote.
Everything the build carries moves one way. Genius is the record for price, cost and billing, and the write back that matters at the sales stage, the quote, is already the vendor’s.
The build matches on Genius identifiers kept in custom HubSpot properties, never on names. The association from an order back to its deal runs through the quote number, which is why the build reads the link Genius’s integration writes, and why discovery confirms where that number sits on the deal before anything is mapped.
| | | Direction | Match key | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Customer | Company | Into HubSpot | Genius customer identifier in a custom HubSpot property | |
| Quote | Deal | Two way | Genius quote number on the deal | Genius's own integration owns this link. The build reads it and never writes it. |
| Sales order | Custom object | Into HubSpot | Sales order number, associated to the deal through its quote | |
| Job | Custom object | Into HubSpot | Job number, associated to the sales order | Job status and milestone billing are what account managers ask about. |
| Invoice | Custom object | Into HubSpot | Invoice number, associated to the job |
Architecture
A polling service does the work, calling Genius’s REST API, which Genius sells as an add-on. Its product page lists generic data endpoints for selected entities, JSON exchange and Swagger interactive documentation, and describes the same API feeding a client portal where customers check orders, order status and shipments. The reference itself and the way the API authenticates are not public, so both come from Genius during discovery.
The service reads each object on a schedule, upserts into HubSpot on the Genius key, then runs a separate association pass so orders attach to companies and deals. It keeps a checkpoint per object. Where no modified date is exposed, it compares the full key set and writes only the records whose values changed. Genius also names SQL among its integration methods, so where you host Genius and an object has no endpoint yet, a read-only view fills the gap. Nothing the service does touches the quote link Genius maintains.

Three ways to connect
The first route is Genius’s own HubSpot integration, which Genius sells directly and presented with its partner Lakhos in a webinar for manufacturers. If the quote handoff is the whole problem, start there and stop.
The second is the build this page recommends: a custom API integration on the REST API add-on, for the orders, jobs and invoices that Genius’s descriptions of its integration do not mention. The third applies only where you host Genius yourself: a managed sync on Skyvia over read-only SQL views, one way, with no service to run. It depends on the database engine being one Skyvia’s agent reaches, and Genius does not name its engine publicly, so that route starts with a question.

Custom API integration
RecommendedA service we build reads orders, jobs and invoices through the REST API add-on Genius sells, whose Swagger reference and authentication are not public, and writes them beside the quote link Genius's own integration keeps.
-
Managed sync on Skyvia
PossibleOnly where you host Genius yourself. Genius names SQL among its integration methods, so packages over read-only views could carry the same objects one way with no service to run, if the database engine is one Skyvia's agent reaches. Genius does not name the engine publicly.
What breaks and how we prevent it
Two integrations writing one deal
Genius’s integration sends quote updates to the deal. If the build writes the same properties, the two overwrite each other and the deal flickers between them. We list the properties each integration owns in the design, and the build never writes a property it does not own.
A REST API sold, not published
Genius sells its REST API as an add-on with Swagger interactive documentation, but neither that reference nor the authentication scheme is public, and Genius describes its set of endpoints as growing with new versions. Estimating against endpoints nobody has seen is guessing. We ask Genius for the reference before pricing the build, and flag any object that has no endpoint yet.
A release that changes a field
Genius says it reinvests in the system every year and adds API connections with new versions, so a field the build reads can change between releases. We pin the fields the service depends on, check each response against them on every run, and retest after every Genius upgrade.
An add-on nobody licensed
The REST API is bought separately, so a shop running Genius may not have it. A project that assumes it stalls on day one. We confirm the licence in discovery, because both the design and the estimate depend on it.
Our approach
- Scope. We confirm the REST API add-on is licensed, what Genius’s own integration writes to the deal, and which records account managers want beside the deal.
- Architect. The design names the properties each integration owns, the key for every object and the endpoint each one reads, with a SQL view only where an endpoint is missing.
- Build. The service is written against the add-on’s Swagger reference, whatever test environment Genius provides, and a HubSpot sandbox.
- Validate. We backfill a HubSpot sandbox, check that every order and invoice lands on the right company and deal, and walk the orphans with sales operations.
- Operate. We follow each scheduled run, replay any object on request, and repeat the endpoint tests whenever Genius ships a version.
Common questions
Is Genius ERP's HubSpot integration in the HubSpot App Marketplace?
No. HubSpot's marketplace has nothing published for Genius ERP; the dated search behind this page matched 118 listings that merely mention the words. The integration Genius Solutions sells is offered by Genius directly, and Genius presented it with its partner Lakhos in a webinar on HubSpot for manufacturers. Ask Genius for its field list before deciding what else to build.
What does the Genius ERP integration with HubSpot actually do?
Genius describes it in terms of quotes. A sales rep works a deal in HubSpot, and when the deal reaches the quoting stage, key data syncs to Genius ERP, the quote is created there, and later updates are sent back to HubSpot. Genius does not publish a field list, so confirm which properties it writes before planning anything alongside it.
Does Genius ERP have an API a HubSpot build can call?
Yes, a REST API that Genius sells as an add-on. Its product page lists generic data endpoints for selected entities, JSON exchange and Swagger interactive documentation, and Genius describes the set of endpoints as growing. The reference and the authentication method are not public, so both are confirmed with Genius before a build is priced.
How current is Genius ERP order data once it is in HubSpot?
As current as the service's schedule, which we set nightly for orders, jobs and invoices, so HubSpot stays within one working day of Genius. Quotes travel separately, on Genius's own integration, which syncs automatically once a deal reaches the quoting stage. A shorter schedule is possible where account managers act on job status during the day.
What happens if a Genius ERP sync run stops partway?
The service records the object and the checkpoint it reached, and the next run resumes there instead of reloading everything. Records are written as upserts keyed on their Genius identifiers, so a repeated batch updates the same HubSpot records rather than creating duplicates. The association pass runs apart from the upserts, so replaying a window cannot double a link.
Should Genius ERP or HubSpot own the customer record?
Genius, for everything a shop bills against: the legal name, the terms and the addresses. The pipeline, the deal owner and the logged activity stay HubSpot's. The build carries customers one way into companies. How a new HubSpot account first reaches Genius is a question for Genius's own integration, which we confirm in discovery rather than duplicate.
How many hours does a Genius ERP and HubSpot build take?
Scoping takes 10 to 20 hours and the build 70 to 150, covering customers, orders, jobs and invoices with checkpoints, replay and a reconciliation report. Discovery carries more weight than usual: it confirms the REST API add-on is licensed, obtains its reference and authentication details, and maps what Genius's own integration owns.

How we build
- Sandbox first. We build and test in a sandbox before anything reaches production.
- Fail-closed allowlists. An integration runs only against the HubSpot accounts it is approved for.
- Least-privilege access. Each integration gets only the API scopes it needs.
- Secrets in a vault. Keys and tokens live in a secrets vault, never in plain text.
- Sensitive data scoped early. Discovery covers sensitive data, access controls and any BAA or data-processing needs.
- A compliance package for regulated industries: audit logging, field-level encryption and sensitive-data handling.
