HubSpot + Infor integration

Infor LN, M3 and CloudSuite Industrial all publish their changes through ION. What reaches HubSpot from there, and what a keyed build takes in hours.

Is there an official Infor + HubSpot integration?

Not from HubSpot or Infor. As of September 2026 the HubSpot App Marketplace lists two third-party apps, Infor SYNC, Data Lake, AI, MCP by Commercient and an Infor CSI version from the same developer. We recommend a custom API integration that takes Sync BODs from an ION data flow and reconciles them against the Infor Data Lake, at 70 to 150 build hours, and it needs someone on your side who can add a data flow in ION.

Why teams connect Infor to HubSpot

Infor sells its ERP by industry rather than as one product. Infor LN runs discrete manufacturers in aerospace and defense, automotive, high tech and industrial manufacturing. Infor M3 serves distributors and fashion, food and beverage and chemical companies. SyteLine, which grew into the full cloud suite Infor calls CloudSuite Industrial, serves industrial manufacturers, many of them small and mid-sized. Their account managers increasingly work in HubSpot, and the ERP knows things about each customer that HubSpot does not.

The gap shows up in ordinary conversations. A rep promises a delivery date without seeing the open order, chases a customer whose invoice is already overdue, or quotes a part the plant no longer makes. The answer sits in the ERP, behind screens and licences built for planners and buyers rather than sellers, so the rep emails customer service and waits.

What sets Infor apart is that the integration layer already exists. ION, the integration platform inside Infor OS, carries changes between applications as business object documents, or BODs, and feeds the Infor Data Lake, while Infor’s API Gateway fronts the product APIs with OAuth 2.0. So the first questions are about people and access rather than the API: who administers ION for you, whether a data flow can be added, and whether the Data Lake already holds the objects you want.

What syncs

Five BOD nouns carry the relationship. CustomerPartyMaster becomes a HubSpot company, ContactMaster becomes a contact, SalesOrder becomes a deal, Invoice lands on a custom object and ItemMaster becomes a product. These are standard Infor nouns, so the mapping holds whichever ERP publishes them, with differences in the fields each ERP fills.

A first build moves data one way only. The ERP owns the customer, the order and the invoice, and HubSpot shows them read only. A won deal that must become a sales order goes back in a later phase as a Process BOD, which the owning ERP answers with an Acknowledge, so a rejected order is visible rather than lost.

Keys come from the BOD, never from a name. Each record is written against the ERP’s own ID in a custom HubSpot property, together with the company or site that published it, so two sites can never overwrite each other’s records. People are matched differently: a contact keys on email, and the contact ID from the BOD settles a tie.

Objects that sync between Infor and HubSpot
Source object HubSpot object Direction Match key Notes
CustomerPartyMaster Company Into HubSpot Customer ID from the BOD, held with the company or site that published it The BOD arrives when the customer changes, so the company follows the ERP between sweeps.
ContactMaster Contact Into HubSpot Email, with the contact ID from the BOD as the tie breaker
SalesOrder Deal Into HubSpot Sales order number, held with the company or site that published it Orders are read only in HubSpot. A won deal returns to the ERP later as a Process BOD.
Invoice Custom object Into HubSpot Invoice number, associated to the order and the customer
ItemMaster Product Into HubSpot Item ID

Architecture

Events come first and a nightly sweep checks them, which is the house webhook queue pattern fed by ION. A data flow subscribes to the Sync BODs the ERP publishes and sends each one through an API Gateway connection point to our ingest endpoint. ION can call only an API that is registered in API Gateway with a Swagger or OpenAPI document, so the endpoint is registered as a non-Infor API suite before anything flows.

The endpoint writes each BOD to a queue before it answers. A consumer maps it and writes HubSpot in keyed batch upserts on the ERP IDs, then links orders and invoices to their company in a second pass. Our service keeps its own state: a link store from ERP ID to HubSpot ID, and a watermark per Data Lake object.

The sweep runs nightly. It queries the Infor Data Lake through Compass, using the infor.lastmodified() function to read only objects added since the last watermark, and repairs anything the flow missed. A replay is the same query over an older window. On M3 the balance shifts: Infor recommends the Data Lake for synchronizing M3 data to outside systems and says M3 keeps it updated close to real time, so there the Compass read runs every few minutes and carries most of the load.

The ERP publishes Sync BODs to ION, and a data flow sends each one through an API Gateway connection point to an ingest endpoint that stores it before answering. A nightly Compass query on the Data Lake catches what the flow missed, and every record is upserted on the ERP's own IDs.

Three ways to connect

On Infor the deciding question is who controls ION, more than which ERP you run. If your team or your Infor partner can add a data flow and register an API suite, a custom API integration gives you each change as it is published and a sweep that proves nothing was dropped.

Infor OS, with ION inside it, is also Infor’s own iPaaS, and an API Gateway connection point can call HubSpot directly once HubSpot’s endpoints are registered. That suits a one-way push of one or two objects, with the mapping kept in ION and no reconciliation beyond what you build there.

The third route is one of Commercient’s two Infor apps in the marketplace: a packaged sync for a standard customer and order feed, supported by Commercient rather than by your team.

  • iPaaS

    Possible

Infor sells Infor OS, with ION inside it, as its own iPaaS, and an API Gateway connection point can call HubSpot once HubSpot's endpoints are registered. It suits a one-way push of one or two objects, with no reconciliation unless you build one in ION.

  • Marketplace app

    Possible

Commercient's two Infor apps are third-party syncs, which leaves the mapping, the support and the roadmap with their developer. They are a fair choice for a plain account and order feed with no runtime of yours to watch.

What breaks and how we prevent it

Status codes ION will not retry

An API Gateway connection point retries only on 401, 500, 503 and 504. Any other error turns the BOD into a Confirm BOD, which holds a copy of the message for an ION administrator to resubmit, and the flow moves on. So our endpoint stores the BOD before answering 200, answers 503 when it cannot store, and never rejects a document it could not map: it parks it and raises an alert.

Edits that publish no BOD

A BOD goes out only from an integration point the ERP defines, and not every edit is one. In CloudSuite Industrial, for example, a BOD comes from a change to a table listed in a replication category or from a business event wired to trigger one, and filters and skip settings can hold others back. The nightly Data Lake sweep catches a change that never became a message.

Deletes hidden in the Data Lake

The Data Lake keeps every variation of a record. A Compass query returns the highest variation by default and leaves out records whose highest variation is deleted, so a plain incremental read never sees a delete. We ask for deleted variations explicitly and close the matching HubSpot record.

One-minute gateway timeouts

API Gateway waits one minute for a target by default, and a policy can extend that to five. We page every read well inside the default rather than asking for a longer timeout, so a slow night never turns into failed calls.

Our approach

  1. Scope. We meet whoever administers ION, confirm which BODs your ERP and release publish, and check that the Data Lake holds the same objects.
  2. Architect. We fix the nouns, the keys with their company or site, the data flow, the API suite registration and the sweep window, and write them down.
  3. Build. The endpoint, queue, consumer and sweep are built against a non-production tenant and a HubSpot sandbox, with a portal allowlist from the first commit.
  4. Validate. We replay a week of BODs, run a full Data Lake reconciliation, and walk every difference with the order desk.
  5. Operate. We watch Confirm BODs, queue depth and sweep repairs, and recheck the flow whenever the ERP is updated.

Common questions

Is there an Infor app in the HubSpot App Marketplace?

Only from a third party. As of September 2026 Commercient lists Infor SYNC, Data Lake, AI, MCP by Commercient and a separate Infor CSI version for CloudSuite Industrial, and the marketplace counts single-digit installs for each. Neither HubSpot nor Infor publishes an app, so the mapping, support and roadmap of either listing stay with Commercient.

Can Infor ION send changes to HubSpot as they happen?

Yes, through an ION data flow. The ERP publishes a Sync BOD when a business event changes a record, and an API Gateway connection point can send that BOD to an HTTPS endpoint registered in API Gateway with an OpenAPI document. A change reaches HubSpot shortly after the ERP publishes it, and a scheduled Data Lake sweep covers the edits that never become a BOD.

What happens when an endpoint rejects a BOD from Infor ION?

That depends on the status code. ION treats 401, 500, 503 and 504 as connection errors and retries them. Any other error becomes a Confirm BOD, which keeps a copy of the original message so an ION administrator can resubmit it after fixing the cause. Our endpoint therefore answers only after storing a document, and parks anything it cannot map.

How does an integration authenticate to the Infor API Gateway?

With OAuth 2.0. For server-to-server work an administrator creates a backend service authorized app on the client credentials grant and downloads its credentials as an .ionapi file, which holds the client ID, the secret and the token URL. Infor states that access tokens currently last about two hours, so the service renews them on a schedule.

Does one Infor integration cover LN, M3 and CloudSuite Industrial?

Mostly. The HubSpot side and the ION flow carry across, because ION moves standard Infor BOD nouns whichever ERP publishes them. The product APIs behind the gateway differ: M3 alone offers more than 6,000 API transactions through API Gateway, and Infor points M3 integrations at the Data Lake for bulk reads. Scoping starts from the ERP and release you actually run.

How does an Infor Data Lake read avoid duplicate HubSpot records?

By upserting on the record's identifier instead of inserting whatever a query returns. The Data Lake stores every variation of a record, and a Compass query returns the highest one unless told otherwise. Each HubSpot write is keyed on the ERP ID in a custom property, so reading an object twice changes nothing, and a deleted variation closes the record.

What does an Infor and HubSpot integration take in hours?

Budget 10 to 20 hours of discovery and 70 to 150 hours of build for five objects with an ION data flow, a Data Lake sweep, and replay and reconciliation endpoints. Much of discovery happens with whoever administers ION: which BODs your ERP publishes, who registers the API suite, and which non-production tenant the build runs against.

Trust and compliance

We design integrations to support the security and privacy rules your business works under, and we build them on independently audited platforms.

How we build

  • Sandbox first. We build and test in a sandbox before anything reaches production.
  • Fail-closed allowlists. An integration runs only against the HubSpot accounts it is approved for.
  • Least-privilege access. Each integration gets only the API scopes it needs.
  • Secrets in a vault. Keys and tokens live in a secrets vault, never in plain text.
  • Sensitive data scoped early. Discovery covers sensitive data, access controls and any BAA or data-processing needs.
  • A compliance package for regulated industries: audit logging, field-level encryption and sensitive-data handling.

Scope a Infor integration

Send the systems, the direction and the record volume. We reply with a scope and an effort band within one business day.

  • Infor

Type any system and its version, such as Sage 300 or Sage 50. Press Enter or a comma after each one.

Add more detail (optional)

Optional. A sentence or two about the workflow is enough.

We use these answers to scope the work and for nothing else. Privacy policy.
