We recommend a custom API integration on Sage 300's own Web API, reading each company on a schedule, at 70 to 150 build hours. It stops being enough where a module has no Web API endpoint, because the work then drops to Sage 300's view layer, which Sage documents for its development partners.",

    {
      "q": "Does HubSpot or Sage publish a Sage 300 app?",
      "a": "Neither does. The only app named for Sage 300 in the HubSpot App Marketplace is Sage 300 SYNC, Data Lake, AI, MCP by Commercient, a third-party listing with nine installs in the marketplace's own count. Sage's own CRM for Sage 300 is Sage CRM, which connects through an integration component Sage publishes for recent Sage 300 versions, not through HubSpot."
    },
    {
      "q": "How does an integration sign in to the Sage 300 Web API?",
      "a": "With Basic authentication on every request, built from a Sage 300 user name and password, plus a JSON content type, which Sage says every request needs or the Web API answers with an HTTP 500. We create a Sage 300 user for the integration with only the rights it needs, and reach the IIS server over HTTPS so those credentials never travel in clear text."
    },
    {
      "q": "Can the Sage 300 Web API return only the records that changed?",
      "a": "Partly. Queries accept an OData $filter with date values, and Sage's own example filters customers on DateLastMaintained, so customers can be read by change. Sage does not document a maintained date on every resource. We check each resource's $metadata for one during discovery, and read the rest by key, comparing a hash of each row with the last run."
    },
    {
      "q": "How current is Sage 300 data in HubSpot?",
      "a": "As current as the schedule, hourly by default, because Sage documents no webhook for the Web API and the service has to poll. Each run reads each company in turn, so the delay is the interval plus the run time. Where sellers need one status within minutes, we shorten the interval for that one resource rather than for everything."
    },
    {
      "q": "What stops a Sage 300 order from opening two HubSpot deals?",
      "a": "The key. Every order is written as a batch upsert on the company org ID plus the key Sage 300 generates for it, both held in custom HubSpot properties, so a replayed run updates the deal it created before. A write back needs the same care: a repeated customer insert fails with a RecordDuplicate error, but an order gets a new generated key, so the service records every order it posts and checks before posting again."
    },
    {
      "q": "Can HubSpot create a customer or an order in Sage 300?",
      "a": "Yes, through the Web API, which inserts one record per request and runs it through Sage 300's own business views. A won deal can post a customer to ARCustomers or an order to OEOrders. We build that as a second phase with a review step, because an order carries pricing, tax and stock consequences that finance should see before it exists."
    },
    {
      "q": "How do you test a Sage 300 integration without touching live companies?",
      "a": "Sage 300 ships two sample companies, SAMINC and SAMLTD, with data for receivables, order entry and inventory, and a copy of a live company gives the build real codes. The service runs against one of those through a test Web API, and an allowlist of org IDs and HubSpot portals refuses any write that does not come from the company it expects."
    },
    {
      "q": "What does a Sage 300 and HubSpot integration take in hours?",
      "a": "Allow 10 to 20 hours of discovery and 70 to 150 hours of build for five resources with watermarks, replay and reconciliation. Discovery settles where the Web API runs and how it is reached, which companies are live, which resources carry a maintained date, and whether a write back belongs in the first phase, because that last answer moves the estimate."
